Maximizing Your Online Presence

Don’t just join the crowd of voices criticising social media and online platforms as a breeding ground for moral decadence. Instead, use it to advance your own interests. The internet is one of the easiest places for one person to make a great impact for their business, career or community interests. Here are some #tips to get you started.

1. Promote posts and articles that you have enjoyed and that you think could benefit someone else. Most sites have the option to like, share or clap for articles. This not only adds to the popularity of something but is a great way to encourage the content creator and motivate them to do even more.

2. Invite your friends to share your interests. Forwarding things that you discover to be of interest to you is a great way to extend a following. It generates the same benefits as stated above.

3. Share your own ideas and interests. The internet is one of those places where amateurs thrive. There is so much opportunity for amateur writers, photographers or actors etc. If you have something that you enjoy, a hobby, special interests and so on, start talking about them online. Share pictures, short videos or memes.

4. Don’t be afraid to speak out. Negative comments are very powerful to any online discussion. Sometimes all it takes is for just one person to disagree with something, and the entire tone of the conversation can change. While it is important to be kind to people online, it is also good to disagree and express your disapproval of certain ideas.

5. Create your own space. Starting a blog or even website is so easy. Explore your options for an opportunity to create your own space on the web. Blogging and creating your own posts is a great way to share your own ideas and opinions.

In the 21st century you don’t have to be left out of any conversation on the global arena. From likes to blogs, you too can be a part of every conversation, and influence society from your little corner of the web.
